IKEA Recalls Beach Chair Due to Reports of Amputated Fingertips

Posted on

Even although we are weeks from water, mud and bikini time, IKEA has got the MYSINGSÖ Beach Chair on its head. The Swedish merchant released a week ago it’s carrying out a voluntary recall of the folding seat due to a finger amputation risk. Ouch!

The seats were bought for approximately $25 from Feb 2013 through Dec 2016, but evidently they’re able to fail and drop, producing severe threat to your arms. In a e-mail to buyers, the merchant mentioned the next: “IKEA has obtained 13 stories of occurrences global, including 10 incidents, 6 of which triggered finger amputations. Three of these occurrences, with one finger amputation damage, were described while in the U.S.”
